About this JPG to PNG tool
Some apps, design tools and upload forms only accept PNG. PNG also uses lossless compression, so once your image is a PNG, editing and saving it again won't add new JPG artefacts. That makes it a good format for images you plan to edit repeatedly.
Converting keeps the image exactly as it is now, pixel for pixel. Note that PNG files are usually larger than JPGs, and converting cannot restore detail already lost to JPG compression.

Frequently asked questions
Does converting JPG to PNG improve quality?
No. It preserves the current quality exactly but cannot restore detail lost when the JPG was saved. It prevents further loss when you edit the image later.
Will the PNG have a transparent background?
No. JPGs have no transparency, so the PNG keeps the same solid background. Removing a background requires an editing tool.
Why is the PNG bigger than the JPG?
PNG is lossless, which takes more space for photographs. For smaller files keep JPG, or try WebP.
Can I convert multiple files?
Yes. Select as many JPG files as you need.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Conversion happens on your device.
