About this PNG to ICO tool
Browsers look for a favicon.ico to show in tabs and bookmarks, and Windows uses ICO files for desktop shortcuts and programs. An ICO file can contain several sizes of the same icon, so it looks sharp everywhere. This tool packs your image into a multi-size ICO, keeping transparency.
Start from a square image of at least 256 × 256 pixels for the best result. Non-square images are centred in a square automatically.
