About this QR Code Generator tool

Many “free” QR code sites create codes that redirect through their servers and stop working unless you pay. The codes made here are static: your link or details are stored directly in the pattern, so they work forever, with no tracking and no account.

Create a code for a website, a Wi-Fi network (guests scan to connect without typing the password), a WhatsApp chat, an email, a phone call or a text message. Adjust colours and size, then download a PNG for screens or an SVG for sharp printing at any size.

How to use QR Code Generator

  1. Choose what the QR code is for, such as Link, Wi-Fi or WhatsApp.
  2. Fill in the details. The preview updates instantly.
  3. Adjust size, colours and error correction if you like.
  4. Download as PNG or SVG and test it with your phone camera.

Printing tips

  • Keep the code at least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 inch) on paper, and larger for posters viewed from a distance.
  • Use dark code on a light background. Inverted or pale codes may not scan on every phone.
  • Choose High error correction if the code might get scratched or partly covered.
  • Always test the printed code with a couple of different phones.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The information is encoded directly in the QR code, so it works forever and doesn't depend on our website.

How do I make a QR code for Wi-Fi?

Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password, and select the security type (usually WPA). Guests scan it with their camera to join.

Can I make a WhatsApp QR code?

Yes. Choose WhatsApp and enter your number with country code, plus an optional pre-filled message.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG works everywhere on screens and in documents. SVG is a vector file that stays perfectly sharp when printed at any size.

Can I use the QR codes commercially?

Yes. They're free to use on products, packaging, menus and adverts.
