About this Merge PDF tool
Merging PDFs is one of the most common office jobs: putting a signed contract together with its annexes, joining scanned pages into one file, or sending a single attachment instead of five. This tool copies every page from your PDFs into one new document without re-compressing anything, so text stays sharp and searchable, links keep working and the file stays small.
Unlike most online mergers, nothing is sent to a server. The merge runs on your own computer or phone using JavaScript, which makes it fast and keeps confidential documents private.

Features
No quality loss
Pages are copied as they are. Text, vector graphics and images are not re-rendered or compressed.
Any number of files
Merge two PDFs or two hundred. The only limit is your device's memory.
Private by design
Files are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.
Works everywhere
Use it on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android or iPhone without installing anything.
Tips for a clean merged PDF
- If one of your files is password-protected, remove the password first. Encrypted PDFs cannot be combined.
- Need only some pages from a file? Use Split PDF or Remove PDF pages first, then merge the results.
- Pages facing the wrong way after scanning? Fix them with Rotate PDF before or after merging.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
There is no fixed limit. Very large jobs (hundreds of files or several gigabytes) depend on your device's memory. On phones, merging up to around 200 MB at a time works reliably.
Will merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?
No. Pages are copied directly into the new file. Nothing is converted to images or re-compressed, so the result looks exactly like the originals.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The merge happens entirely in your browser. Your PDFs never leave your device, which is why the tool also works for confidential documents.
Can I change the order of the files?
Yes. Use the arrow buttons next to each file to move it up or down. Files are merged from top to bottom.
Why does it say my PDF is password-protected?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be copied page by page. Open the file in a PDF reader with the password, save an unprotected copy, and merge that copy.
