About this PDF to Excel tool
Bank statements, price lists, invoices and reports are often only available as PDFs, yet the numbers are far more useful in a spreadsheet. Copying and pasting usually squashes every row into one cell. This converter looks at where each piece of text sits on the page, groups text into rows, detects the column positions shared across the page, and places every value in its own cell.
Values such as 1,250.00, (45) or $99 are turned into real numbers, so formulas like SUM work immediately. You can put each PDF page on its own worksheet or combine everything into one sheet, and download as XLSX or CSV.

Getting the best results
- Text-based PDFs (exported from accounting software, Excel or a website) work best.
- Scanned PDFs are images and contain no extractable text. The tool will tell you if your file looks scanned.
- Very irregular layouts may need a little clean-up, such as merging a header that spans two columns.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert a bank statement PDF to Excel?
Yes, as long as the statement is a text-based PDF downloaded from your bank. Dates, descriptions and amounts are placed into separate columns, and amounts become numbers.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
No. Scanned PDFs are pictures and need OCR. The tool will warn you if it finds little or no text.
Will each page be a separate worksheet?
By default, yes. You can also choose to put all pages in one sheet, which is handy for long statements.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. All processing happens in your browser, which matters for financial documents.
Which formats can I download?
Excel workbook (.xlsx) or CSV (.csv). CSV files are saved with UTF-8 encoding so special characters display correctly.
