Printing a document just to sign it, then scanning it back, wastes paper and time and leaves you with a blurry copy. You can sign a PDF directly in your browser instead.

Steps

  1. Open Sign PDF and choose the document.
  2. Create your signature: draw it with your finger or mouse, type your name in a handwriting style, or upload a photo of your signature.
  3. Drag it to the right place on the page and resize it.
  4. Download the signed PDF.

Using a photo of your real signature

Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen, photograph it in daylight and crop it tightly. Uploaded signatures look the most natural.

After signing

  • Prevent changes by adding a password with Protect PDF.
  • Combine the signed pages with other documents using Merge PDF.

An image signature like this is accepted for most everyday agreements, forms and letters. Some legal and government documents require a certified digital signature or a wet ink signature, so check if you are unsure.
