How to reduce PDF size for admission and job portals
Admission portals, scholarship forms and job sites often limit each document to 1 MB, 500 KB or less. Scanned degrees, transcripts and CNIC copies are usually far bigger. These steps get them under the limit while keeping the text readable.

Open Compress PDF →Quick method
- Open Compress PDF and choose your file.
- Start with the recommended level and check the new size.
- Still too big? Run it again with a stronger level.
- Open the result and zoom in to make sure names, numbers and stamps are readable.
If you only have photos of your documents
- Crop each photo to the paper edges with Crop Image.
- Shrink each photo to about 150–250 KB with Compress Image to KB.
- Combine them with JPG to PDF.
When the portal wants one combined file
Use Merge PDF to join your matric, intermediate and degree documents in order, then compress the merged file. Remove blank pages with Remove PDF Pages to save more space.
Tips for very small limits (200 KB)
- Scan or photograph documents in black and white where colour isn't needed.
- Upload only the pages asked for, not the whole booklet.
- Crop away margins and backgrounds before making the PDF.
Your documents are processed in your own browser and never uploaded, which matters for CNIC copies and transcripts.
